About Winescape

  • Address:  6011 East 32nd Avenue, Spokane, WA 99223
  • Hours:  Fridays 3-7pm, 1-6pm Saturday and Sunday
  • Winescape:  We create expressive faithfully-crafted wines from Washington State.
  • We value… exploration, celebration, family, & friends.
  • We strive… to push the upper edge on quality, so that each varietal/blend can tell its own story.
  • Our home… (literally as well as figuratively) is located on 14 acres on Spokane’s South Hill.
  • We live… in a 1918 homestead, adjacent to our 2017 wine production facility (designed by Seattle-based architect Tom Kundig).
  • We learn…from the Winescapers.  They are our guests, our way finders, & our storytellers.
  • And yes, we do things here.  Including grape runs (31 tons in 2018), crushing, fermenting, monitoring, & stewarding our wines.

2017 Field Trip (to be released November 2017)

2017 Field Trip Red Blend.  67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, 13% Merlot, & 7% Grenache.

2017 Malbec (to be released November 2019)

2017 Malbec.  Columbia Valley AVA.  Gamache Vineyard.

2018 Red Mountain Rose of Sangiovese

This dry Rose presents notes of strawberry and red plum.  A soothing sweetness on the palate is followed by an elegant tartness provided by the crisp acidity of the fruit.  This wine will be appreciated on a hot summer day as well as on crisp, cool days.  It pairs well with lightly grilled salmon fillets or clams from Washington’s Hood Canal.  Add great guests and fun.

2018 Chardonnay

Our 2018 Chardonnay balances the richness of the varietal with a light touch of oak.  The wine is straw in color and expresses notes of Asian pear, lemon, caramel and apricot.  We barreled this wine on enough oak for your palate to savor.  Pair with a tried and true favorite (buttered popcorn) or go out on a limb and pair with sushi, blue cheese or BLTs.

2016 Harvest Moon

This 100% Gewürztraminer overdelivers, beginning with notes of honeydew melon, Key lime, mandarin and allspice. On the palate, juicy acidity is balanced with a touch of residual sugar. Abundant flavors of ripe peach and citrus fruit lead to a clean, lasting finish. Enjoy with duck & spicy Asian fare.

2017 GSM

2017 GSM:  14% Grenache, 43% Syrah, 43% Mourvedre.  Columbia Valley AVA.

Our GSM opens with floral and earthy scents, leading to notes of plum, black tea, and baking spices.  This well-balanced wine is true to each varietal and finishes with a smooth palate.  Pair with Mediterranean dishes, lamb, charcuterie, and pizza.

2016 Cabernet Sauvignon-Red Mountain AVA

Sourced from Kiona’s award-winning Heart of the Hill vineyard, this Cabernet has soft edges of plum, cherry, leather, spice, and earth.  Our 2016 vintage is the full-bodied soul of a cab in a velvet glove.
